We’re committed to supporting mental-health charities as our faithful followers may recall from previous product activations, collaborative packages and of course the @nikesportswear Air Huarache miniatures with our @footpatrol_ldn family.
From day one, @Varker has been the name behind most of our graphics, thus allowing for a pixel-paved digital route for recent additions to MORPRIME Industries™ team of labrats to follow - a mine-sweeper if you will.
This shall be our second airdrop of many to land in @ifucareshare’s donation stronghold via MI™ drones - an organisation close to our heart, supporting those affected by suicide in any capacity. Remarkable people, doing truly remarkable things.
So, here’s a teaser of what we have coming up - a world first in MORPRIME Industries™ branded apparel.
Another size?-iversary, addressing the Air Max 180
British retailer, size?, launched this article of 180 degree bubble-sporting collaborative brilliance as part of their decade anniversary series - a tenth birthday that saw cross-branding and exclusive packages-a-plenty. Let’s make it clear, this was their NINTH collab of the year!
What made this pair so momentous? Just so downright desirable in the minds of Visi-Air collectors on a global scale?
We’ll keep it brief; size? drew the very DNA from Trip Allen’s 1991 Air Terra ACG trail runner thus welcoming streaks of black, orange and magenta into an already busy kitchen. From here, every cell spanning the 250 solitary units was manipulated in a way that broke necks - REGARDLESS of sneaker fandom affiliation.
For those of us who were fortunate enough to enjoy the immense line-up posed by @sizeofficial throughout 2010, there was one man at the centre of it all - Paul Ruffles. Now Brand Creative Strategist amidst @merrell_1trl climb to street-culture’s newfound peak in trail orientation, @pruffs birthed an exclusive “Air Max” 180 iteration boasting two swings at technological sole-development, littered in speckled detailing.
Sertig-fied heater!
It’s an odd one, those moments of realisation in which clarity ensues. Not so long ago, we sat our labrats down with an end goal exploring topics untapped across MORPRIME IndustriesTM vastly reported catalogue.
So - we haven’t peeled back Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 90 cheese-wedge... until now. We’ll tap into Nike’s transparent Air Bag at another time, today is for this model alone.
As a summarised account of the events leading up to 1990’s silhouette launch, we’ve organised what we’d consider to be a well-formed run through - a step-by-step for your pleasure on the move.
Ultimately, Tinker wanted his Air Max 1 predecessor to hit shelves on the front foot without fumbling; this resulted in a streamline, heavily accentuated wedge-like upper sat comfortably atop over-pumped Air Bags, an element soon deflated going forward.
At the time, there was commotion around THIS being his final shoe in a long line of industry-developing episodes, earning itself a $110 pricetag - matching that of the Air Huarache that would come a year later.
That’s it, without indulging in visible-air delights the story behind Tinker’s 90 was to be as fast-looking whilst stationary as possible without alleviating a need for lightweight synthetic leather-cum-suede panelling throughout.
25 years after preliminary ‘Hyvent Orange’ tones revolutionised retailers globally, we have the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Sertig’. Take a swipe-venture with our team to learn more!

MORPRIME Industries™ Picks of the Month: August '21
Presenting MORPRIME Industries™️ Picks of the Month, carefully extracted August’s contributions:
First-up, Kings Disease II is a sequel to 2020’s preliminary Nas installment, enlisting the help of audible-nectar produced by no other than Ms. Lauryn Hill, sloping effortlessly into features from A Boogie and YG in tandem with Eminem making an early appearance, too. Unlike a multitude of other artists, Nas’ ability to flow through any instrumental has meant the artist’s craft evolved parallel to an ever changing, impossibly predictable industry. It’s been shy of three decades since Queensbridge native dropped Illmatic, however it’s impossible to suggest that art has been few-and-far between; you don’t compete with Nas.
Generally speaking, silhouettes pulled from the weighty New Balance back-catalogue tend to impress in our current market - so, with the 2002r being at this month’s forefront why wouldn’t we usher an already iconic @flyin_asparagus adaptation towards a podium finish? From toe to heel, Yue manipulated an otherwise @drewnyssen designed upper to sit comfortably atop soft 860v2 tooling. Our question is, what would YOU coin this technically brilliant trio, @flyin_asparagus?
Our good friend @koji198139 of ATMOS supported a Swoosh-driven co.JP archival exhibition, in light of the vastly impressive 2001-3 retro projects hitting 2021’s shelves, 20 years after their exclusively Japanese debuts. Whilst there’s no guarantee that every pair hidden behind a deceptive @bodega style shopfront has, or shall be reborn - the walls of this particular flagship in @atmos_sendagaya are lined with everything collaboratively launched by ATMOS, beneath the Concept Japan umbrella and simply unavailable outside of the nation’s confines.
Finally, how many WEARABLE pairs of the OG Lightning do you know of? Jordan Brand relaunched an iteration of their forth silhouette that roused a long-forgotten lust for sturdy midsoles within MORPRIME Industries™️ laboratory network. Cease transmission.
Available now! A second capsule from New Balance and Salehe Bembury
As we join forces with our close family at @NewBalanceLifestyle once again, we’re able to give the MORPRIME Industries™ community a piece-by-piece breakdown of @SaleheBembury’s second collaborative clothing capsule in true MI™ style.
This collection takes notes on utility garment-construction from Bembury’s significant back catalogue, continuing to set new standards when introducing the readily explorable great outdoors to your meticulously engineered wardrobe.
The New Balance x Salehe Bembury ‘YURT 2’ capsule is available NOW at NB’s Oxford Street flagship store, so head over for a better look in-hand and remember to tag us in any pick-ups along the way!
Thank YOU: A Hua-rt felt message
Now, for the moment of truth! As some of you may remember, back in March we partnered up with Oregon giants @nike and London’s greatest asset, @Footpatrol_Ldn to celebrate an exact retro of Tinker Hatfield’s gift to 1991 sportswear - the Air Huarache ‘Scream Green’.
Our labrats then set to work in producing our OWN, 3D scaled and printed version of the silhouette; sporting injections of MORPRIME IndustriesTM branding within the outsole’s heart and FP’s gasmask across what we know to be a neoprene bootie.
In order for collectors to win their very own miniature, we asked for a donation of £5 to @IFUCARESHARE Foundation on their campaign to aid suicide prevention.
Well, we have some good news - the donation has been submitted. Take a swiping adventure to find out just HOW much we raised!
Oakley's Kato rebirth
When it comes to eyewear within an industry enveloped by wrap-around goodness, there can only be a handful of brands that float to the surface throughout consideration for premium levels in performance UV protection.
We teamed up with @oakley to break down each vitally developmental step taken towards 2021’s KATO launch - a facially residing silhouette set apart from its ‘X’ counterpart by means of an elongated ‘beak’ portion extended across the wearer’s bridge.
Is this your first time dabbling in athletic facial-wear? Well, follow our swipe-story to learn about each factor leading to Oakley’s tried-and-tested powerhouse.
MORPRIME Industries™ call... inbound!
Brands, retailers and solo creatives alike - our books are open for new projects.
Space has opened up in the lab, and we’d like to fill the gap with retainers, campaigns or even collaborative work adopting our iconic MORPRIME Industries™ style and tone to those in which we lovingly surround ourselves. Whilst opportunity is limited and every avenue may not be explored at this stage, we’d love nothing more than to elope in conversation spanning any projects sat at the forefront of your mind.
Propose the idea, and leave it with us.
We look forward to hearing from you.
MORPRIME Industries™ Picks of the Month: July '21
Here are MORPRIME Industries™ July Picks of the Month, an entirely unbiased, flavour-orientated selection pulled from a collectively-strewn prefrontal cortex.
First up, we follow on from last month’s F&F @jpegarchie ‘Gun Fingers’ tee highlight with an article of archived @brokenalloy brilliance. Reworking one of their first products, Broken Alloy integrated Felix the cat into an already recognisable rear-printed logo without fumbling the baton (see, we do sport, too! Go, Olympics!). This is set to be the brand’s sixth tee release, printed on a GILDAN chassis with pre-orders available through mercht.com. In case you’re not familiar with Alloy, this is a team boasting nothing less than an automotive infatuation laced in 35mm photography and motoring lifestyle goods.
Next up in our chronological swipe-cycle, an English rework of Boston’s classically trained NB 550 silhouette - sporting injections of globally recognisable orange-tones sat comfortably atop a white-cum-linen coloured frame. New Balance worked wonders in bringing the 550 back to its former ‘80s glory, allowing size? to hold their own as the first British shopfront to have its name on this model.
Who knew our British summer would be so sporadic, it’s almost as if we’re not used to London’s so-called heatwave tendencies by now? Well, @HikmetSugoer stretched his legs in the art of brewing BBQ condiments, working alongside German foodies @BBQUE to produce ‘Hikmets Sweet Sucuk Barbecue Sauce’ for unadulterated taste-bud tantalisation. Oh, it’s August? Well, 2021 taught us to expect the unexpected - all weather is BBQ weather.
Here we are, tying up loose ends whilst admiring a collaboration deriving from two brands hailed for creative turnout over earth’s last 18 month cycle. Surfing brand STUSSY allowed LA’s UNION retailer to rework a collection in a way previously found in books and notepads dream-sketching fantasy capsule designs. Here’s a little breakdown; yarn dye striped poncho, dual-layer hood, angled front patch pockets, rear-facing stacked print - the ingredients for a good time.

GUNDAM SEED: The Astray Units
A second installation in a fresh-faced series from MORPRIME Industries™️ team of labrats, brings the world of GUNDAM to life as DIGI-ZINES; computer generated swipeographies for YOUR enjoyment!
This evening’s storyline enlists backlog of GUNDAM SEED - the ASTRAY UNITS.
Another Stash, Nike's London chronicle
NYC-born artist, STASH, and Oregon’s biggest sportswear aficionados have a sparkling history - one laden in shades of blue splashed across waterproof textiles and numerous silhouettes; however, 2003’s London exclusive Air Force 1 High was a little different.
A model once known by some of its fandom as the Air Force Zero, the pictured version of Kilgore’s 1982 high top features that signature repeated textile pattern made iconic by STASH himself - whilst not completely visible by means of handheld device, each minute detail takes on the image of a spray nozzle.
We know you love a freebie, in fact why delve into a sneaker’s backstory without acknowledging everything on the surface beforehand? Let us riddle you a little something; blue flightcase alongside the shoebox itself, keys for access and a CD containing animated work by @chrislaw, @stevenbryden and @tekano.bob.
You best believe details found throughout this pair are that of incredible stature - in order to set itself apart from New York or even Tokyo’s exclusive, unique @mrstash graphics could be seen peeking through the outsole’s looking-glass. All of the above, below and in-between led towards this particular version being voted as industry’s BEST Air Force 1 of all time at a 25th Anniversary event in NYC; every votee finding themselves on the receiving end of an updated version donning ‘One Night Only’ at its rear. With over one THOUSAND pairs to choose from, THESE came out on top.
Some number crunching before calling it quits - 250 units shipped to London, 250 for New York and 500 made their way to Tokyo.
PRIME_CUTS: Nike Air
PRIME Cuts, whether a placeholder at the centre of your Sunday roast, or those memorable movie clips deriving from family favourites - this is the portion of our channel whereby MORPRIME Industries™️ team of labrats dissect a specific brand’s silhouette back-catalogue.
We grant them a license to micro-analyse without supervision.
This evening, we pinned down the early years of Nike ZOOM Air Technology - emphasising a particularly empty market for PROPERLY executed retro treatments. You know; exact replication of stance, similar materials working down to minutely insignificant details.
Here are SIX models that DESERVE an inch-perfect relaunch, six models that we’d proudly wear without hesitation. Because after all, nothing ever seems to be as good at its second loop around?
Without further ado, join us on a swiped-journey!
Coveted Tape, a Purple wrap
Anniversary sneakers are common practise in circles of great magnitude, especially when topics boast elements of immense orbital weight - such as New Jersey’s Packer teaming up with Italy’s finest slice of 2015 Diadora.
Back in ‘95, Raekwon dropped ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx’ going on to take the hip-hop world by storm; even to this day it remains a classic dose of audibly technical brilliance, ear nectar if you will. Beyond the shoe, Packer threw a party to commemorate bi-decade celebrations whereby Raekwon rolled-up to New York’s iconic S.O.B. in no less than a fittingly customised purple ice-cream truck in line with one of song’s on his tracklist.
It goes without being said - shoe boxes were signed and head bopped in synchronicity, life was taken back in time by 20 years and everything seemed oh-so-simple. ‘90s hip-hop was a force to be reckoned with, a period boasting unrivaled lyrical architecture through a multitude of mediums, including that encapsulated within a PURPLE TAPE.
Diving into Diadora’s design process, we bore witness to ‘1995’ replacing a typically seen ‘N9000’ outstep embellishment in tandem with ‘1’ and ‘2’ on either heel, relating to corresponding tracklists splashed across both insoles - tape side 1 and tape side 2, of course!
@Raekwon designed these in the company of @krxone, which led to a 1-of-1 being produced five years later exclusively for the man himself; completely alleviating any need for a box by means of his own bag, and very slight changes across both feet.
Jumpman's Mocha treatment, a bean-ridden tale
If you’re one of the millions requiring an extra nudge before getting out of bed come morning shine, a dark cup of coffee and an equally aromatic pair of Jordan Brand’s third silhouette should do the trick.
On this occasion, MORPRIME Industries™ usher a colourway that was once a shelf sleeper into the spotlight, after it reappeared in 2018 following 17 years of Swoosh-archive preservation. The ‘Mocha’ 3’s revival further signified an immersive lifestyle adventure on which Jordan Brand was headed, stepping away from their iconic on-court ensemble of red, black and white.
Mocha sales did not match the anticipated admiration of the sneaker three years ago, but with an ongoing resurgence of vintage workwear and neutral coloured clothing or footwear, they’ve attracted an upsurge in popularity. For us at MORPRIME Industries™ however, they will always inhabit a special spot amongst sale rack steals of slightly off-centre Air Jordan colourways.
Puma's Dazzler legacy
How else to introduce a sneaker coined Puma’s Mirage R Dassler Legacy, than right back at the birth of Big Cat brand when one of, if not THE, biggest feuds in sportwear history ensued? After Rudolf and his brother split from co-owned Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, each took sovereign over independent projects, carving a border through the town of Herzogenaurach.
Founded in 1948, Puma redefined the principles of the sportwear industry, creating a new chapter in sports marketing. While a normality in modern day, the ‘bribing’ of athletes into wearing product was unconstitutional… and is exactly what Puma perused in their strive for speed! In 1958, Brazil won the football World Cup wearing Puma - the likes of Pele donning their boots.
Originally designed for stability, the Formstrip (or Formstreifen) came to fruition the same year, a trademark ever since. Running from heel to sole and quickly becoming a Puma staple, the Formstrip is found on today’s pair and almost all cherished pairs from their extensive archive.
Fast forward to current day, with hundreds of athletes in numerous disciplines under their belt, Puma have carried R. Dassler’s heritage to the fullest, releasing the Legacy Pack in mid-2020. One of many models which dropped in his honour, the Mirage serves as a spearhead for this celebratory pack. Each pair sports a similar tonal upper, incorporating a flash of colour and glimmering gold accents.
Hanging from the eyelet, depicting the OG Puma (Dassler) logo, a trinket is found on centre stage in yet another nod to Dassler’s legacy, one which puts a further shine on his big cat’s German roots.
GUNDAM 0083: The GUNDAM Development Project
A fresh-faced series from MORPRIME Industries™ team of labrats, bringing the world of GUNDAM to life as DIGI-ZINES; computer generated swipeographies for YOUR enjoyment!
This evening’s storyline enlists GUNDAM 0083: The GUNDAM Development Project - breaking down every dial and mechanism ridden suit encompassed within this particular franchise.
MORPRIME Industries™ POTM: JUNE '21
Whilst we may look like a team of sneaker-lovers doused in more than your average splashing of nerdery, truth be told the majority of us have been deeply immersed within this year’s sport-orientated June overhaul; UEFA’s Euro competition kicked off, Copa America followed suit and Wimbledon took to centre court. However, silverware aside the sixth month of what feels like an incredibly short year was packed with products clad in that undeniable, underlining medal of valour.
Here it is - MORPRIME Industries™ Picks of the Month, SWIPE, READ, SWIPE!
First up is a self-produced, self-coined ‘Gunfingers Tee’ designed and launched by one of MORPRIME Industries™ design team - @jpegarchie. Description-wise, need we go beyond the tee’s rear graphic?
“When a massive tune is dropped in a rave, you make a gun with your fingers and shoot for the sky”.
Without dabbling in further collaborations radiating close to MORPRIME factory doors, let us break bread between a few bits you may have missed AWAY from @sneakersnstuff 237, @bodega’s 990v3 or even a certain @salehebembury ‘Water be the Guide’ 2002r. Ah, we tried.
Switzerland’s @on_running crew launched their Cloudboom Echo model, a MARATHON shoe that ended up landing on our radar due to amalgamated compounds of carbon Speedboard integration and an upper finished in a 100% recycled polyester mesh. We’re all for competitive recycling, especially occasions whereby it’s THIS aerodynamic!
When we mention streaks of nerdery running thick through our veins, we mean streaks of figurines depicting Conan the Barbarian’s unmistakable aesthetic so accurately. Figure-aficionados, @super7 went above and beyond what meagre humans knew to be possible in accommodating Conan’s adventure from ‘70’s printed publication to ‘21’s technology-ridden planet earth, available alongside an alternating head attachment and weaponry galore.
Oh, and as for @NewBalanceLifestyle orientated history-to-present boosters to quench one’s craving for knowledge? Keep your eyes peeled, we’ve not even scratched the surface…
Today, we're going on a Safari
Nike’s late ‘80s to early ‘90s catalogue is FULL of powerful, epicentre worthy
silhouettes spanning ALL shapes and sizes - this is, and shall always be a prime
example of Swoosh taking industry by the scruff of its neck.
In graphic, you’ll find an integral dose of MORPRIME Industries™ knowledge, however down below we shed light on Tinker’s iconic palette of immeasurable ballast.
Aesthetically, there’s very little that compares to Nike’s crater-ridden concept repeated throughout every inch of Safari-coined textile - in fact, our origin can be found out in New York City. The Big Apple!
Where we’d expect mesh panelling to reside, thick leather slabs make their home portraying Tinker’s ‘purposely non-athletic’ stature; pushing development in the opposite direction to that we’d expected from an otherwise all-athlete prospectus - breaking AWAY from material functionality.
With SAFARI taking the mantle at this pair’s forefront, you’d expect a beating, living creature to usher the wagon into motion. In many respects, you’d be correct! However, factual recollection dictates an article of home-bound LUXURY was Hatfield’s canvas - taking form as a real-ostrich skin clad sofa.
