Feast your eyes on the beauty! Typically, this is what to expect when you combine GUNDAM with NIKE’s cult classic Air Mowabb sneaker.
Taking the ultra utilitarian BANDAI HG 1/144 GH-001RB Grimoire Red Beret kit from their Build Divers series as a blank canvas, we customised this fantastic Mobile Suit with preferential details, weathering and a livery inspired by the king of the concrete jungle — the Nike Air Mowabb.
What makes the Mowabb an ESSENTIAL pair in our rotation each time the weather turns sour? Well, the 1991 silhouette epitomised Nike’s ACG line; we’ve seen them host CDG and Olivia Kim collaborations (amongst others) without straying from Tinker Hatfield’s original design, which exemplifies just how ahead of his time he really was.
Fortunately for you all, this is just the start of our NIKEPLA series with a sold out first drop of the Gundam ‘Orange Box’ currently in the works for LUCKY owners, and a big list of projects on the way! A collector supplying the collectibles — something rather anti-rehabilitation about the act, don’t you think?
Our ACG-900 ‘Mowabb’ would make a great centrepiece in any collection; or as the name suggests, even aid social media celebrations surrounding a sneaker launch!
